Find it with MeLCat
Don’t see the item you’re looking for in eLibrary? There’s still a good chance you’ll be able to get it without purchasing it from the bookstore.
OPL Patrons have access to the Michigan eLibrary Catalog, or MeLCat (for short). MeLCat is a statewide interloan system that allows participating Michigan libraries to share many of the items in their catalogs—including books, and sometimes audio books, DVDs and CDs—with other participating libraries, thus increasing the variety of items available to those libraries’ patrons. This means that if you don’t find what you need in OPL’s shared catalog, there’s a good chance you can find it through MeLCat.
Outreach Services
Did you know the Oxford Public Library provides Outreach Services to qualifying homebound patrons? If you or someone you know is unable to physically come to the library to retrieve materials, library staff is available to deliver. Currently many Oxford residents receive library materials delivered to their home to enjoy on a regular basis. Registration is easy and may be done by phone or in person. Specific items may be requested for delivery at any time and/or librarians may make selections based on an individual patron’s interests. Call today to speak with Outreach Services Facilitator: Jennifer @ phone # (248) 628-3034.
