Weekly Programs that Require Registration

Registration for the Spring Session 1 begins Monday, February 9 at 10:00 a.m.
Registration for the Spring Session 2 begins Monday, March 9 at 10:00 a.m.

Bitty Bops (Babies from birth - 23 months, with an adult lap)
Enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays and rhymes with your baby.  Please make other arrangements for siblings so this can be a special time with your child.
Mondays, 10:30 a.m. 
Session 1: February 23 through March 16
Session 2: March 23 through May 4 (no class April 6 or 13)


Toddler Storytime (Ages 24-35 months, with an adult lap)
Enjoy stories, songs, rhymes and activities with your toddler.  We want to make this a special time for you and your toddler, so please make other arrangements for siblings.
Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m. 
Session 1: February 24 through March 17
Session 2: March 24 through May 5 (no class April 7 or 14)
 

Preschool Storytime (Ages 3-5 years)
Listen to stories, sing songs, learn fingerplays & rhymes.  Children should be able to listen independently for this class.  This is a great introduction for children to being in a group and following directions.
Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. 
Session 1: February 26 through March 19
Session 2: March 26 through May 7 (no class April 9 or 16)

After-School Adventures (Grades K-2)
Listen to stories and be creative with arts and crafts and other activities.
Thursdays, 4:30 - 5:15 p.m.
Session 1: February 26 through March 19
Session 2: March 26 through May 7 (no class April 9 or 16)

Lego® Club (Grades 3-5)

Build amazing creations every week!  Each week you will have a different task to build something fun.
Mondays, 4:30 – 5:15 p.m.
Session 1: February 23 through March 16
Session 2: March 23 through May 4 (no class April 6 or 13)


Drop-In Programs, no registration needed

Tuesday Tales (All ages, adult lap for children under 3)
Wear your PJs if you'd like and listen to stories, songs, rhymes and more!
Tuesdays, 7:00 p.m.
Session 1: February 24 through March 17
Session 2: March 24 through May 5 (no class April 7 or 14)

Wee Wednesdays (All ages, adult lap for children under 3)
Enjoy stoies, songs, rhymes and more in this storytime for all ages.
Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m. 
Session 1: February 25 through March 18
Session 2: March 25 through May 6 (no class April 8 or 15)


Special Programs, registration required when noted

February:

Hunt for Hearts (All Ages)
During the month of February, we will be hiding paper hearths throughtout the Youth Dept.  If you find one and bring it to us at the Youth Desk, you'll be entered into a prize drawing for a soft and huggable prize.
February 1-28

Family Book Bingo (Ages 5 and up)
Come to the library, play Bingo, and win books as prizes.  Bring the family and have a great time.
Saturday, February 21, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Registration is required adn begins February 2.  Note: Please sign up all family members who will attend.

March:

Be a Smart Cookie (All ages)
Help us fill up our cookie jar!  Every time you read a book, ask us for a 'cookie'.  You can write your name on it and add it to the giant cookie jar in the Youth Department.
March - May
No registration needed

March is 'Read to a Dog' Month (All ages)
Come to the Library and read to a special therapy dog.
 This is a great way for kids to practice their reading while enjoying the company of a sweet, loving dog. 
Wednesdays, March 4, 11, 18 & 25  with time slots from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m.
Saturdays, March 7, 15, 21 & 28  with time slots from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Engineering is Fun (Ages 6 and up)

Engineer, Patty O’Brien Novak, explores the basics of engineering with this fun, interactive program that includes lots of audience participation. Operation Gummy Bear, Angry Golf Ball Engineering and Ready, Set, Dribble are just a few of the experiments that you will enjoy during this exciting program. Parents are welcome to attend too!

April:

April is 'Poem in Your Pocket' Month (Ages 4 and up) 
April is Poetry Month! Carry a poem in your pocket or choose one at the Youth Desk during the month of April, read it to a librarian in the Youth Department, and get entered into a raffle for a special poetry-themed prize. Limit of one entry per day. Drawing will be held on April 30.

Spring Break Crafts (All ages)

Drop in anytime while on break and enjoy a variety of spring crafts to make and take home.

Money Smart Week

Make It, Save It, Spend It (Ages 3-7)

 
Money, money, money! Come to a fun storytime all about money! We’ll read stories, play games and do a craft all about counting money, saving money and the most fun, spending money. Each child in attendance will receive a free book.
Wednesday, April 22, 6:30 p.m.
Registration is required

Money Fun
Drop in to the Youth Department during Money Smart Week (April 18-25) and have some fun with a money guessing jar, coin rubbings, dollar bill origami and more!
